What did CBP announce?
CBP announced that the Forced Labor Portal went live on January 21, 2026. The portal is a centralized system for importers to submit review requests for shipments detained or excluded under forced labor enforcement. CBP made it mandatory to use the portal for Withhold Release Order and Finding admissibility reviews, UFLPA applicability and exception requests, and CAATSA exception requests as of that date.
What is Allied's position?
This portal remains the required channel for UFLPA and WRO related review requests as far as we know from later messages. If any of your entries are detained or excluded for forced labor enforcement, we will help prepare and submit the review request through the Forced Labor Portal. Contact us if you have a shipment currently held under a WRO, Finding, or UFLPA action so we can review the entry with you.

What does the CBP message say?
U.S. Customs and Border Protection is pleased to announce that the Forced Labor Portal is now live.
The Forced Labor Portal is a centralized location for importers to submit review requests for shipments detained or excluded for forced labor enforcement. Depending on the type of review submitted, submission will be reviewed by CBP personnel in Forced Labor Division, or Port of Entry, or the Center of Excellence and Expertise.
Effective, January 21, 2026, it is a mandatory requirement to use the Forced Labor Portal to submit the following review:
- Withhold Release Order/Finding admissibility reviews.
- Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act applicability reviews.
- Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act requests for exception; and
- Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act exception requests.
