What did CBP announce?
CBP announced it canceled free NCSD commodity webinars scheduled for March 24 and March 26, 2026, due to a partial DHS funding lapse. The sessions covered Parts of General Use and Stepping Forward in Smart Kicks. CBP said it would reschedule both webinars once the funding lapse ended.
What is Allied's position?
This notice only canceled two educational webinars and did not change any entry filing requirements. It does not affect the entries we file for clients, and clients do not need to do anything. Clients should ask us about any classification questions the webinars would have addressed.

What does the CBP message say?
Due to the partial Department of Homeland Security (DHS) lapse in funding, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has canceled its free monthly National Commodity Specialist Division (NCSD) commodity webinars that were originally scheduled for March 24 and March 26. The sessions focused on "Parts of General Use" and "Stepping Forward in Smart Kicks." Both webinars will be rescheduled once the lapse in funding has ended.
