What did CBP announce?
CBP's National Commodity Specialist Division announced a series of educational webinars for 2026 on commodity classification and emerging technology topics. The message listed the July 2026 schedule, covering topics such as plastics, footwear, headgear and display devices. Registration was handled monthly, with July sessions requiring registration at the time of the announcement.

What does the CBP message say?
The National Commodity Specialist Division, Office of Trade, is excited to present the next round of 30+ commodity-specific, educational webinars to support our internal and external stakeholders.
This year our webinars will focus on the FUTURE OF TRADE: INNOVATION AND EMERGING TECHNOLOGY - dedicated to rapidly changing technology, in addition to providing general classification guidance to facilitate legitimate trade.
From May through September 2026, the webinars will commence at 1:30 p.m. ET for approximately one hour, except for September 22, 24, and 25, which are scheduled at 11:00 a.m. ET.
We are now registering attendees for the webinars scheduled to take place during July and will proceed with monthly registrations for the remaining webinars through September. We will be using the WebEx Platform, which will provide a seamless experience for you and ensure external posting of the webinars to https://www.cbp.gov/trade/stakeholder-engagement/webinars. Each webinar will have its own link to sign in.
