CBP updates list of HTS codes barred from AES export reporting

What did CBP announce?
CBP announced updates to Appendix V of the AESTIR, which lists HTS numbers that cannot be reported in the Automated Export System. One HTS number was removed from the list and 43 HTS numbers were added, at the request of the U.S. Census Bureau. The updated list is posted on CBP.gov.
What is Allied's position?
This message concerns exporters and filers who report HTS numbers in AES, not the import entries we file. Clients who export goods under any of the listed HTS numbers should check the updated Appendix V and confirm how their AES filer reports those numbers. This notice does not require any action on entries we handle for clients.
