Food & Beverage (FDA)

FDA-regulated food imports cleared by specialists who do this every day.

The FDA regulates the vast majority of food products entering the United States—everything from snack foods and beverages to dietary supplements and food ingredients. Non-compliance results in refusal, detention, or destruction of your goods. With over 60% of our business in FDA and agricultural commodities, food import compliance is our founding expertise.

FDA Prior Notice

Every food shipment entering the US must have a Prior Notice filed with FDA before arrival. For ocean shipments, this is required no later than 8 hours before arrival; for air and truck shipments, the windows are even tighter. We file Prior Notices as a standard part of our entry process—not as an afterthought.

FSMA & FSVP Compliance

The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) fundamentally changed food import regulation. As the importer, you are the "FSVP Importer" responsible for verifying that your foreign suppliers produce food that meets US safety standards. We help you understand your obligations and ensure your entry documentation supports your FSVP program.

Labeling & Ingredients

FDA food labeling requirements are extensive. Nutrition facts, ingredient lists, allergen declarations, country of origin marking, and net quantity statements must all comply with 21 CFR regulations. We flag potential labeling issues before your goods reach CBP and FDA examination, saving you costly relabeling or refusal.
