What did CBP announce?
CBP published Quota Bulletin 26-504 for whiskbrooms wholly or in part of broom corn under HTSUS subheading 9603.10.05. The quota period ran from January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026, and opened on Friday, January 2, 2026. Entries submitted after 12:01 am local port time and before 08:30 am ET on the opening date received an 08:30 am entry time. If the total exceeded the limit at 08:30 am ET, CBP prorated all accepted entries.
What is Allied's position?
This was a routine quota bulletin, and clients do not need to act. Later CSMS messages may have changed the quota status, so importers of whiskbrooms should ask Allied to review their entries.
