What did CBP announce?
CBP announced Quota Bulletin 26-210 for peanuts under HTSUS Chapter 12, Additional U.S. Note 2. The quota period ran from April 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027, and opened on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Entries submitted after 12:01 a.m. local port time and before 8:30 a.m. ET on the opening date received an 8:30 a.m. entry time. If any HTSUS group exceeded its limit at 8:30 a.m. ET, CBP prorated all accepted entries.
What is Allied's position?
This was a routine quota opening, and clients did not need to act. Later CSMS messages may have changed the quota status, so peanut importers should ask Allied about their entries.
