What did CBP announce?
CBP announced an update to the ACE CATAIR Error Dictionary (V47) that changed the name of error code 613 from HTS RELATIONSHIP/SEQUENCE MISMATCH to HTS RELATIONSHIP MISMATCH. CBP removed the sequence reference because incorrect HTS number sequencing now triggers a separate existing error, 852 HTS OUT OF SEQUENCE. The update deployed to the CERT and PROD environments on May 28, 2026.
What is Allied's position?
This is a technical labeling change to how ABI systems report certain HTS errors, and it concerns filers like Allied rather than importers directly. We account for the updated error names and the separate 852 sequence error in the entries we file. Clients do not need to take any action on this change.

What does the CBP message say?
Please be advised that an updated version of the ACE CATAIR Error Dictionary V47 has been posted under Chapters: Current Capabilities section on CBP.gov (https://www.cbp.gov/trade/automated/catair). This update includes the following:
• Updated existing error name for 613 from “HTS RELATIONSHIP/SEQUENCE MISMATCH” to “HTS RELATIONSHIP MISMATCH”
• The reference to "sequence" is being removed as the sequencing validation now returns existing error 852 HTS OUT OF SEQUENCE in response to an incorrect sequence of submitted HTS numbers.
This update is scheduled to deploy to the CERTIFICATION (CERT) environment and the PRODUCTION (PROD) environment on May 28, 2026.
