What did CBP announce?

CBP posted an updated Cargo Release Condition Codes document to cbp.gov. The update added error code 333, which flags an importer of record as inactive for entry purposes. CBP deployed this status check to the ACE Certification environment on June 30, 2026 and to Production on July 14, 2026.

What is Allied's position?

This system update lets CBP flag entries when the importer of record's account is inactive for entry purposes. We watch for error code 333 on the entries we file and will contact the client if their importer number shows this status. Clients do not need to take any action now unless we notify them that their importer of record account needs attention.
