What did CBP announce?
CBP published Quota Bulletin 26-502 announcing the 2027 tobacco quota period, which runs from September 13, 2026 to September 12, 2027. The quota opened on Monday, September 14, 2026. Entries filed between 12:01 a.m. local port time and 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time on the opening date all received an 8:30 a.m. entry time, and CBP prorated accepted entries if any HTSUS group total exceeded the limit at that time.
