U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has added new error codes for e214 Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) admissions and ACE Cargo Release as part of the implementation of Proclamations 11061, 11062 and 11063.
This applies to designated imports originating from Canada – entered for consumption or withdrawn from a warehouse for consumption – on or after 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) on September 29, 2026, affecting certain products under Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) headings 0404, 1702, 1703, 2202, 2203, 2204, 2205, 2206, 2207, 2208 and 8711. Products affected include alcohol that is packed in bottles, cans, boxes, kegs or other similar direct-to-consumption containers.
Pursuant to the implementation of Presidential Proclamations 11061, 11062 and 11063, CBP has made updates to the ACE Cargo Release and e214 Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) admissions. Filers attempting non-compliant submissions will receive rejections with the following error codes:
The ACE Appendix P – e214 FTZ Admission Error Codes (https://www.cbp.gov/document/guidance/ace-catair-appendix-p-ftz-error-messages) document was updated to add the following error code:
- 239 - HTS NOT ALLOWED FOR COUNTRY OF ORIGIN
The Cargo Release Condition Codes (https://www.cbp.gov/document/guidance/cargo-release-condition/error-codes) document was updated to add the following error code:
- 335 - HTS NOT ALLOWED FOR COUNTRY OF ORIGIN
