What did CBP announce?
CBP announced Quota Bulletin 26-508 covering the tariff rate quota for UK-origin automobiles under Executive Order 14309. The bulletin set two quota periods for 2026, January 1 to March 31 and April 1 to June 30, with opening dates of January 2 and June 30. Entries filed after 12:01 am local port time and before 8:30 am ET on the opening date received an 8:30 am ET entry time for quota purposes, and CBP prorated accepted entries if a HTSUS group's limit was exceeded.
What is Allied's position?
This bulletin covered UK automobile quota periods that have both closed as of today. It applied only to entries of UK-origin automobiles under the specified HTSUS Chapter 87 subheading filed during those quota windows. Clients who imported UK automobiles in Q1 or Q2 2026 and have questions about how their entries were processed should ask us to review the specific entries.

All entries submitted after 12:01 am local port time and prior to 08:30 am Eastern Time (ET) and on the opening date will receive an entry time of 08:30 am for quota qualification purposes. If the total for any HTSUS group exceeds the limit at 08:30 am ET, all accepted entries will be prorated.
