What did CBP announce?
CBP announced Quota Bulletin 26-109, covering cotton and man-made fiber fabric and apparel goods from Chile under HTSUS Chapter 98, Subchapter XXII, Notes 4 and 5. The quota period ran from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026, with an opening date of January 2, 2026. Entries filed after midnight local port time and before 8:30 am Eastern Time on the opening date received an 8:30 am entry time, and CBP said it would prorate accepted entries if any HTSUS group total exceeded the limit at that time.
What is Allied's position?
This was a routine quota opening notice for Chilean textile and apparel goods and did not change tariff rates or entry requirements. We apply quota timing and proration rules like this when we file entries for goods covered by this quota. Clients importing these Chile-origin textile products do not need to take action, but can ask us to confirm quota status on specific entries.

All entries submitted after 12:01 am local port time and prior to 08:30 am Eastern Time (ET) and on the opening date will receive an entry time of 08:30 am for quota qualification purposes. If the total for any HTSUS group exceeds the limit at 08:30 am ET, all accepted entries will be prorated.
