What did CBP announce?
CBP announced updates to the Electronic Export Manifest Automated Commercial Environment implementation guides for the Exports Truck UNEDIFACT CUSCAR, CUSREP, CUSRES, PAXLST, 309, 350, and 355 messages. The changes involved technical edits such as removed codes, updated data element usage, and corrected typos in the EDI specifications. CBP directed technical questions to client representatives and policy questions to its export manifest mailbox.
What is Allied's position?
This message covered technical EDI formatting changes for truck export manifest transmissions and mainly concerns carriers and software providers that send these EDI messages to CBP. Allied files import entries and does not transmit export manifest EDI data, so this update does not change the entries we file for clients. Clients who transmit their own export manifest data should confirm with their EDI provider that these formatting updates were applied, and later CSMS messages may have changed these specifications further.
