CBP title: Update to AESTIR Appendix C – ISO Country Codes
What did CBP announce?
CBP announced that the Government of Nauru passed a constitutional amendment renaming the Republic of Nauru to the Republic of Naoero. The Automated Export System Trade Interface Requirements (AESTIR) will update Appendix C, the ISO country code list, to reflect the change. The updated documentation is on the ACE AESTIR Appendix C page of the CBP AES webpage.
What is Allied's position?
This update concerns export filings in the Automated Export System and does not change the import entries we file. The message only announces a name change in the code list. Exporters who file AES data should check that their software reflects the updated Appendix C. Importers do not need to act.

What does the CBP message say?
The Government of Nauru passed a constitutional amendment to change the name of the Republic of Nauru to the “Republic of Naoero”.
Automated Export System Trade Interface Requirements (AESTIR) will be implementing the update to the Appendix C as listed above.
