What did CBP announce?
CBP announced an update to the Electronic Export Manifest (EEM) Truck Manifest Implementation Guide for the 358 Customs Consist message. The change sets the usage of field M1306 to mandatory. It applies to the ACE Exports Truck X12 358 message format used for electronic export manifests.
What is Allied's position?
This update concerns the technical format that truck carriers and their software providers use to file export manifest data in ACE. It does not change import entry filing, so it does not affect the entries we file for clients. Clients who file export manifests directly or through a service provider should confirm with their software vendor that this field update was applied.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has updated the Electronic Export Manifest (EEM) (https://www.cbp.gov/document/guidance/truck-export-manifest-358-message) ACE Exports Truck X12- 385 Customs Consist Implementation Guide (IG).
Updates implement:
• Updated Usage in M1306 to “M”
