CBP adds ACE Portal account merger requests to its online application
CBP title: ACE Portal Application Updated to Include Account Merger Requests
What did CBP announce?
On November 5, 2026, CBP updated the ACE Portal account application so companies can request merging two or more ACE Portal accounts under a single top account. The account owner for the acquiring entity should submit the request through the automated application at aceaccountreview.cbp.gov. Requestors must upload a signed letter on company letterhead with company names, account identifiers, the subsidiary acquisition date and current contact details. They may also upload other background documents, such as bond information.
What is Allied's position?
This change does not affect how we file entries, and most clients do not need to act. If your company has acquired another entity and you want to combine ACE Portal accounts, your account owner must submit the merger request through CBP's application. Please tell us about any merger so we can confirm your importer and bond details on the entries we file.

What does the CBP message say?
On November 5, 2026, U.S. Customs and Border Protection updated the Automated Commercial Environment Secure Data Portal (ACE Portal) account application to facilitate merger requests for two or more ACE Portal accounts under a single top account. Going forward, if one or more entities need to merge ACE Portal accounts, the account owner for the acquiring entity’s account should use the automated ACE Portal application (https://aceaccountreview.cbp.gov/) to request the merger.
As part of an account merger request, requestors will be required to upload a letter, on company letterhead, signed by an authorized company official, that includes the following information:
- The company name(s) and applicable account identifiers for both the acquiring entity and the newly acquired entity(ies)
- Subsidiary acquisition date
- Current contact information, including telephone number and email address
Requestors will also have the option to upload any other applicable background documentation (e.g., bond information).
