¿Qué anunció CBP?
CBP anunció el Boletín de Cuotas 26-214, que establece el límite de restricción de la cuota arancelaria de atún para 2026 en 16,364,101 kilogramos, conforme a un aviso del Registro Federal del 3 de junio de 2026. La cuota no se sobresuscribió cuando se abrió el 2 de enero de 2026, por lo que todas las entradas y retiros desde esa fecha recibieron un prorrateo del 100 por ciento, por orden de llegada. Esto se aplica al atún clasificable bajo la subpartida HTSUS 1604.14.22.
¿Cuál es la posición de Allied?
Este boletín es una actualización rutinaria de cuota de CBP y se aplica a las entradas de atún bajo HTSUS 1604.14.22 presentadas desde el 2 de enero de 2026. Aplicamos el prorrateo publicado a cualquier entrada que presentemos bajo esta cuota. Los clientes que importan este atún no necesitan tomar ninguna medida a raíz de este aviso.

A notice entitled “Tuna Tariff – Rate Quota For Calendar Year 2026” published in the Federal Register (Federal Register :: Tuna Tariff-Rate Quota for Calendar Year 2026 for Tuna Classifiable Under Subheading 1604.14.22, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) (https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2026/06/03/2026-11113/tuna-tariff-rate-quota-for-calendar-year-2026-for-tuna-classifiable-under-subheading-16041422)) on June 3, 2026 announced the 2026 restraint limit for tuna. The quota restraint limit for 2026 is 16,364,101 kilograms.
The quota on tuna did not oversubscribe at opening moment on January 2, 2026. All successful entry summaries and/or warehouse withdrawals of tuna presented with a presentation date of 12:00 a.m. (midnight) January 2, 2026, onward will be granted 100% proration of the quantity presented on a first come first served basis based on quota presentation date. The entry that filled and surpassed the quota limit will be prorated according to 19 CFR 132.
