What did CBP announce?
CBP announced Harmonized System Update (HSU) 2611, created May 28, 2026. It added six harmonized tariff records and eighteen automated broker interface records covering Section 232 tariffs on certain aircraft components, automobile parts and wood products from Taiwan.
What is Allied's position?
This update changed the tariff data system we use to classify and file entries for these Taiwan-origin goods. We cannot confirm from this message alone whether these Section 232 tariffs still apply today, since later CBP notices may have changed the rates or scope. Clients importing aircraft components, automobile parts or wood products from Taiwan should ask us to review their current entries.
