What did CBP announce?

CBP announced Harmonized System Update (HSU) 2625, created on September 29, 2026, with 57 harmonized tariff records and 304 ABI records. It contains Section 232 pharmaceutical updates described in CSMS # 70054007. It changes CPSC flags on several HTS codes, including some e-cigarette, battery, lighter and mattress codes.

What is Allied's position?

We use the updated tariff and ABI records in the entries we file. The CPSC flag on 14 HTS codes changed from CP2 to CP1, and CBP removed CP2 from code 9613802010. Importers of pharmaceuticals, pork products or goods under these codes should ask us to review their entries. The message itself does not require clients to act.
