¿Qué anunció CBP?
CBP implementó una mejora en ACE que valida el número de transacción interna (ITN) para la información electrónica de exportación (EEI) presentada a través del sistema de imágenes de documentos (DIS), por EDI o por correo electrónico. La mejora ya está activa en el entorno de certificación (Certification Environment) y pasará al entorno de producción (Production) el 8 de octubre de 2026. Las presentaciones con un ITN inválido o que no coincida serán rechazadas con un mensaje de error. CBP también actualizó la Guía de implementación de ACE DIS para reflejar estos cambios.
¿Cuál es la posición de Allied?
Este aviso se refiere a las presentaciones de exportación y al sistema DIS, no a las entradas de importación que gestionamos nosotros. Nos asegoraremos de que cualquier dato de ITN que presentemos a través de DIS coincida exactamente con la transacción de exportación AES correspondiente, una vez que esto entre en vigor el 8 de octubre de 2026. Los clientes que presenten documentación de exportación a través de DIS deben confirmar que sus registros de ITN sean correctos y tengan el formato adecuado antes de esa fecha. Los clientes que solo importan no necesitan tomar ninguna medida.

¿Qué dice el mensaje de CBP (texto original en inglés)?
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has deployed the following enhancement to the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Certification Environment: Document Imaging System (DIS) Validation of Internal Transition Number (ITN) for Electronic Export Information (EEI) Submissions (CBP-255). This enhancement will be deployed in the ACE Production environment on October 8, 2026.
Following this enhancement, ACE will validate the ITN when it is provided via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) or submitted via email to DIS, ensuring that only valid and properly formatted ITNs are accepted. When an invalid ITN is submitted, the filer will receive the message “Submitted ITN is invalid or the format is invalid” and the DIS submission will be rejected. To ensure successful processing, please verify that the ITN is accurate and that the format matches exactly what was provided on the corresponding AES export transaction.
In support of this deployment, CBP has updated the ACE DIS Implementation Guide (IG), which can be found in the “Chapters: Current Capabilities” section of the ACE Automated Broker Interface (ABI) CBP and Trade Automated Interface Requirements (CATAIR) (https://www.cbp.gov/trade/automated/catair) webpage. The updates to the DIS IG related to this deployment are:
- Added a Note for Document Submission Package – ITN Data Element
- Added a Note for General Guidelines for Documents Submitted to DIS via Email, and renumbered the notes in this section
Note, the DIS IG has also been updated to include three (3) Document Label Codes that are for internal government use only. These changes are unrelated to this deployment.
This enhancement will improve CBP’s efficiency when reviewing required EEI, reducing export processing delays and supporting regulatory and operational priorities.
